Actorcraft is Cultivating Community – and Honing Acting Chops
by Blake Peterson
“One of the most striking pieces of feedback received since opening their new acting school in Gig Harbor is how valuable it’s become not just as an artistic resource, but also as a source of community.”
THE SOUND ON STAGE PRESENTS:
GET TO KNOW A THEATRE
Over on the Kitsap Peninsula, there is no shortage of community theatre, and extend that over the bridge to Tacoma and there is a lot to choose from, but there has always been a vacuum between the bridge and Bremerton, a gap that has been made more gaping over the past few years. There’s also been a lack of places for aspiring actors, or even those with experience, to go on the “other” side of the water from Seattle to hone their craft or to follow their curiosity, a place to learn about acting for both the stage and screen. That’s where Actorcraft P2S (Page, Stage, and Screen) comes in. Click to watch the full interview!
what people are saying...
“Once my high school drama teacher, Mr. Jackson later became my professional acting coach. He helped me land my first agent and manager and coached the audition that landed me my first TV gig… a guest starring role on the Showtime show, Shameless.”
“Kind, inspiring, and creative, Mr. Jackson has been a strong influence on my college and career success. As my high school drama teacher, he helped me identify my passion, select my ideal college, and then prepare the audition and portfolio
that got me in.“
“Their (Jeremy and Adrianne) coaching is simple, relevant, and easy to apply. They make all of my auditions better in a hurry and put my mind at ease before going into the casting room. Highly recommend.“
“Jeremy is someone we could all look to for guidance, for showing us what real work ethic looks like, and for demonstrating what it takes to succeed in life… and as professional storytellers in the entertainment industry.”
“I will never forget Dean
Jackson’s mentorship, lessons, and
inspiring leadership! He is hands down the best teacher/Dean
I’ve ever had and I’m forever grateful to have worked with him!”
“Ms. Alvarez-Jackson coached
me all the way to the National Shakespeare competition in New York City. I won second place, secured a big college scholarship, and got into the school of my dreams. I couldn’t have done it without her.”
“Jeremy & Adrianne’s
passion for the creative
process is infectious and it is
through love that they
consistently produce
such a crop of talent.”
“After several summers and
many a class with Adrianne and Jeremy, my daughter not only became pretty good onstage, she grew more confident, aware, and enthusiastic about
all things in life.“
“Professor Jackson intertwines his passion for acting with his deep understanding of the human condition. His professional approach and insightful lessons extend far beyond the set and stage. He inspired me as a student, an artist,, and a person.”
